Playing The Favourite – INTERVIEW – Inherently Lost

Welcome to the feature where we talk to musicians about some of their favourite things about the industry. Today I speak to Andrew the bassist of the band Inherently Lost. They have an album coming out soon and today we ask some tough questions about the music industry.

What is your Favourite:

Song you have written:

Favorite song is a new one we are working on we don’t have a working title but it’s my favorite because it’s the first one we’ve all got to work on together.

Lyric:

Favourite lyric calling card by within the ruins ” I’ll relieve you of the burden of your frail, pathetic life”.

Musician:

Tony Iommi on guitar,  bass Geezer Butler.

Film or television show:

Movie “The Salton sea” TV show probably Bojack Horseman.

Venue to perform at:

Westside Bowl. Good food and there’s a record store inside. perfect for a music collector.

Item to take with you on tour:

Nothing but the essentials. When you’re on the road space is pretty limited.

Instrument:

A Les Paul copy that my dad helped me get so that one for sentimental reasons but it’s also a good guitar.

Song to play live:

Our first single “unraveling sanity”  there’s a few parts that make me wanna smash through walls like the Kool aid man.

Album by another musician:

A Youngstown band called Album. The record is called “barely survived” or the stage of dreams  “the duality conflict ” both are awesome records.

Memory of tour:

Playing the first female feature fest in Erie. Every band was great and the whole vibe was incredible.

Era for music:

Late 80s early 90s death metal there was a lot of experimentation in that era.

Part of making a record:

When it’s done lol. Recording is tedious but when you get to sit back and listen to it all finished up is a good feeling.

Thing about performing at festivals:

Seeing so many great acts and getting some cool merch. bonus points if it’s outdoors.

Quote:

“Be nice till it’s time to not be nice”- Roadhouse.

Thing about the music industry at the moment?

Not much at this point between getting nothing from streaming and venue merch cuts. But the support from the local scene and the love of creating makes it worth it for me,

Thing about this year so far?

Finally moving into my house and adopting my 3rd cat penny.
