The one thing I love about music is that everyone has their own story to tell – the musician, the lyrics, the way the fans decipher them and also the way a song can also create a memory or a meaning to someone. That is what this new article is all about. Each fortnight, we will take a look at a different song and I will take you as a trip down memory lane as to what it means to me. Welcome to Music Memories.
Track: Terrfied
Artist: Katherine McPhee feat Zachary Levi
Original Release Date: 2010
If there is one thing I like is finding out certain actors can sing – sometimes it can come as a complete surprise and then you end up waiting for them to sing again and record it so you can listen to it over and over again. Today we are going to look at a song that helped me discover an actor could sing and then I became addicted to his voice.
I came across Zachary Levi when I was at University. My housemate introduced me to the television show Chuck and I became incredibly addicted to the programme as it was so good and very addictive. When I like something a lot I tend to search for other things that the actors have done and that is when I came across the fact that he had sung songs. This was a surprise to me as I didn’t realise he could sing (this was before Tangled) and that he was actually very good.
When I heard this song I instantly fell in love with it and would have it on repeat non stop as I had it on my iPod. Luckily he has sung a lot more then that and has been in Tangled and even Broadway shows that I can now access as well. This was the song though that made me adore his singing.
Since then I have also found other actors that I love their voice including Neil Patrick-Harris, Chris Pine and Zac Efron.
