There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.
It has been a very long time since I was in Sweden, it was 2012 and we got a fantastic deal last minute to go to Stockholm for the weekend of Easter.
The one thing I mainly remember about visiting Sweden is that we went through so many different weathers in a very short time. One minute it was warm and the next minute it was freezing and snowing – it was so bizarre.
Stockholm was a very interesting place to visit and in the short time that we had, we saw a lot. One thing that really stood out to me in Stockholm was the grand buildings.
This photo today is of an archway you had to walk through a lot in the main area of the town to get to some of the shops. I instantly found this walkway striking. It was such a unique stone colour and it was an amazing piece of architecture that really caught my attention the first time I saw it.
I enjoy looking at this photograph because it makes it look like a wonderful place which it is and it is truly exciting to see in real life.
