Every day this month we are taking a look at a different rom com everyday to celebrate that it is a leap year in 2024 and valentines day also being in the same month.

Day 10 – Bewitched

When it was first announced that they were turning Bewitched into a modern film I was concerned that they were going to damage a comedy show that was so iconic. However when I ended up watching the film I fell in love with it straight away. Writing this article actually made me want to watch it again so I am actually watching it whilst I write this article!

Here is the synopsis:

Thinking he can overshadow an unknown actress in the part, an egocentric actor unknowingly gets a witch cast in an upcoming television remake of the classic sitcom Bewitched (1964).

It is such a good film, it is light hearted and really fun, Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell make this film fantastic and it does not matter how many times that I watch it, I always enjoy the film. There are so many hilarious parts and it is such a great feel good film.

I really like Nicole Kidman and I find that her role in this film is fantastic and I think her personality in it is the reason why it is so successful. Also I think this is one of the first films I saw Will Ferrell in and found him absolutely hilarious in it. One of my favourite scenes is the one with the dog, it is I think the first time I really saw the comedic talents of Will Ferrell and I remember as a kid it used to make me laugh a lot and even now it can make me giggle a lot. Another part I love is the mini surprise role of Steve Carrell it was also the first act I had seen him play away from Bruce Almighty and it also showed me more of his fantastic comedy talents.

As well as all the comedy moments, it has some fantastic romantic moments, I love the section when they are on the film set after hours and the ending. It is a great film and I always really enjoy watching it, even this moment, I still have a smile on my face as it plays in the background.
