It is the new year which only means one thing, it is time to celebrate acts that you should be keeping an eye on this year! Today we speak to comedian Ed Patrick who had a fun 2023 and is set to have a busy 2024!

Hello tell us all about yourself?

Hello too. I’m Ed, doctor by day and comedian by night, and vice versa too.

How was 2023 for you?

Pretty good, had a very fun Edinburgh Fringe and saved my coffee machine from breaking down forever.

What was the top 3 highlights for you?

Edinburgh Fringe, getting a new doggo and managing to change my car’s flat tyre.

What was the key lesson you learnt from last year?

There is no perfect time for anything. Will you marry me?

What are your plans for 2024?

I am touring my show Catch Your Breath, which will be visiting Leicester, Newcastle, Bath, Brighton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cheltenham and London. I also have a big ass anaesthetics exam.

Do you have any new years resolutions? If so what are they?

To make some resolutions that are achievable

Are you on social media? If so how can people find out more about your troupe?

Yes, @parmapatrick is the name. I once bought some reduced parma ham when at uni, but as this was deemed a luxurious item by my flatmates, the nickname Parma Patrick was given to me

It changes, but I’m listening to a lot of FIDLAR, and saw them again recently in London. Always the sweatiest experience

Where would you love to go on holiday this year?

Right now, somewhere snowy. So probably a staycation.
