Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food. Over the next few weeks with the run up to Christmas, we thought we would do a special edition for this article as there are so much fun things to talk about at this time of year!

CRACKERJACK HOLIDAY SUGAR COOKIE POPCORN

I have visited America many times and there is one thing I discovered that I loved pretty much straight away and that was Crackerjack. It is such an unusual popcorn snack that I fell in love with it. So the fact that I discovered that there was a festive edition that was released, I knew that I had to research into it.

Crackerjack Holiday Sugar Cookie Popcorn has been around for many years ( I couldn’t find an exact year) and returns to the shelves each year. The snack is a popcorn that is flavoured to taste like cookies and is decorated with holiday sugar and sprinkles. A packet of the popcorn could be purchased for $1.48 form grocery stores such as Walmart and Target.

The popcorn has mixed reviews online with some critics stating that it is incredibly sweet and tastes of vanilla. Some find that the original is better whilst others embraced the sweet flavour.
