The Travel Book – Travel Through A Christmas Photo – Besançon, France

If there is one thing I love writing about is Christmas but it is also an event that I love taking photographs of. I adore the sparkling lights of Christmas so I always take a lot of pictures. I always take a lot of images of the decorations as they fascinate me. Over the next few weeks we are going to talk about some of the photographs that I have taken over the years.

If there is one place that is really pretty at Christmas then it is France, It is absolutely wonderful and they really put the effort into decorating to make it stand out. One location that I remember vividly as they had really vibrant and wonderful Christmas lights and decorations is Besançon.

This one thing that I vividly remember from my trip to Besançon in 2019 was how pretty the streets were. This photograph was taken in the square where there was a Christmas market and this display lit up the whole street.

The blue lights made the photograph look cold but it is also so incredibly beautiful and it was so striking. I remember that it was a very cold evening so I think that is why the photographs look incredible striking.

I think it was one of my favourite Christmas lights displays that I have seen before. The lights lit up the market and made it feel really festive.
