Yearly Music Hitlist! – April to June 2023

All year I have decided to keep a diary of tracks that I am enjoying so that maybe you can gain new ideas of tracks to listen to or even try out. So I thought what a great way to end the year and highlight some of the tracks throughout 2023 that I have enjoyed. Here are some of my favourite tracks from April to June.

17/ 4/ 23 – Head In The Clouds, Arrows In Action

I came across this song by accident on a Spotify Playlist and I instantly really liked it and sort of reminded me of the ban All Time Low. It is a song that mixes acoustic and rock together really nicely. It has a really catchy chorus and it is a song that you should definitely check out.

21/4/23 – Tomorrow Never Comes, Rancid

The punk rock band Rancid released a brand new song and they also announced that they were going to release a brand new album as well. This song is catchy and is a reason why I like Rancid’s music. It has some fantastic guitar riffs and is a fun little song.

23/4/23 – My Number, Mendon Hale

This is the new single by Mendon Hale and it is really catchy and a great song to listen to. I have been a fan of Mendon’s music since he started creating country songs and I think that this is one of my favourite tracks that he has released so far. If you want to find out more about the musician you can by reading our interview that went out yesterday by clicking here.

3/5/23 – Bogus Operandi, The Hives

It has been years since this band released any music and it was so exciting to hear that they were returning as I really liked their music. This song really highlights what I like about this band – catchy guitar riffs, a chorus you want to sing along to and a single that is one that you want to add to all of your playlists.

5/5/23- LosT, Bring Me The Horizon

I am now a huge fan of Bring Me The Horizon new music days as I have become a bi fan of their music in the past year. I really like this song because even though it has lyrics that could be described as sad, the music is really uplifting which make this really catchy track.

8/5/30 – Stuck, 30 Second To Mars

Another band that has not released music for years is 30 Seconds To Mars and it was so exciting that they announced that they were releasing a new single this month an album later in the year. This song feels like the continuation of Up In The Air and the music video is sort of in a similar art form as that as well. A very catchy song and it is one you want to have on repeat.

5/6/22 – I Hate Love, Kelly Clarkson (feat. Steve Martin)

I never thought that a duet with Kelly Clarkson and Steve Martin would work but it is one of the most catchiest tracks that I have heard this year and I think it is due to the chorus and the banjo melodies by Steve Martin. It is a fantastic song and I think in someways it highlighted to me what can be missing from modern day pop music. I think Kelly Clarkson can create some wonderful music and this is definitely one of the top tracks.

19/6/22 – Algorithms, Kasabian

It is always exciting when Kasabian release new music as it is at a time where there is always something different around the corner. This track is really catchy and it is a song that the more you listen to it, the more catchy it actually becomes. It is a lot softer then some of their other tracks but it is the chorus that makes this song very striking.

20/6/22 – Halo, Pendulum, Bullet For My Valentine

As soon as i heard this song I automatically liked it as it mixes heavy style rock with a heavy drum and base style and it works incredibly well. It is a song that is incredibly addictive and the two genres compliment one another. it is a song that once I heard it, I have had it on repeat as it has a great beat to it.
