We are kicking off September with an improv team that hare all about short form – Gämez! An improv team that started as a house team for Hoopla and over the years has expanded to be a team that performs at many festivals and even remixes improv games! All month, I will be speaking to team members Ryan and Charlotte about everything improv, on the road and so much more! We end the month with a traditional quick fire round!

Favourite Television show

Ryan: Too many to name! Only Connect, Inside No. 9, The Genius, The Simpsons and Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared are all up there!

Charlotte: In my heart I’m a 80 year old woman so it’s Call the Midwife and Downton Abbey for me. Jessie also shares my appreciation of a period drama and Miriam is a big fan of a Korean or Spanish melodrama! 

Favourite film?

Ryan: Either Parasite or Shrek 2

Charlotte: Cool answer- Reality Bites (great 90s movie with Winona Ryder and Ethan Hawke) but probably real answer Just my Luck (the mad Lindsey Lohan film with McFly). 

Favourite quote from a film or TV show?

Ryan: “This woman has to be gotten to a hospital.” “A hospital? What is it?” “It’s a big building with patients, but that’s not important right now.” – Airplane!

Ryan: Dog (both really, but slightly more of a dog person)

Charlotte: Red Rocks in Colarado would be an epic setting for an improv show.

Ryan: Jack-Jack from The Incredibles

Charlotte: Life the Keith Richards autobiography. That man’s life is insane!

Who would play you in a film about your life?

Ryan: Almost definitely a cartoon character
