Flagpole Sitta – Harvey Danger

Flagpole Sitta was a song released by the American rock band Harvey Danger. The song was written by Sean Nelson, Jeff J Lin, Aaron Huffman and Evan Silk, The track was released under the record labels of Slash and London. The song was released as a single on the 27th April 1998 and was taken off the 1997 debut album Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone?

The song was actually inspired by the 1930’s film Animal Crackers which was a line about a pole sitting fad of the 1920s.

The song did mediocre in the charts and went into the top 40 in Canada (9) Ireland (14) and the US Mainstream top 40 (32). As well as Peep Show, the song was also included in the soundtrack for the film Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.
