Welcome to a brand new feature where we ask musicians or bands five really tough questions about music! Today we speak to the newest addition to the band Standing Crew, Mr D. The Finnish band have recently released the brand new single Fade Away, which is a rock and roll anthem you are bound to enjoy.
What is the hardest lyric you have ever had to write and why?
The next one. Never a pen or paper around when you need one, lots of distractions and your train of thought gets derailed halfway through which in turn results in absolute gibberish. Proof-reading is key, kids.
What is the weirdest gift or compliment a fan has given you?
“You look like a fat, angry Olli Herman.” This was years ago.
In retrospect, she was telling me to lighten up. In more ways than one. I partially took that advice.
Who is the best band or musician you have had the pleasure to share the stage with?
David Reece, formerly of Accept and Bangalore Choir. Nice guy, great singer. The guy knows how to handle an audience.
What one of your songs has been the most difficult to rehearse for a live audience?
Pretty much any song where I’d have to play riffs AND sing background vocals simultaneously.
Dream Collaboration and why?
None since Lemmy Kilmister and Eddie Van Halen left this mortal coil.
6) Any tours / music you want to promote?
There’s always our music, especially the new song “Fade Away”. We’ve only just begun…
