• The creator of the show based the pizza place on the pizza place he worked at while a student at Tufts University. The pizza place is still in operation in Teele Square, Somerville, and is called Broadway Eatery.
• While in Boston to promote Van Wilder: Party Liaison (2002), Ryan Reynolds tried to locate Beacon Street Pizza, not realizing that it was fictional.
• The theme from season one is an instrumental version of the song “Blister in the Sun”.
