The Travel Book – Stockholm, Sweden

If you are looking for somewhere to go for your next city weekend break then Stockholm on Sweden is somewhere you should definitely consider.

Stockholm may be the capital of the country but for me personally it’s been one of the most beautiful and most tidiest capitals I have wet visited. The city is made up of 14 islands and more then 50 bridges.
There is so much to do in Sweden but like all of Scandinavia, it can be a bit pricey. The museums are expensive but they are full of some fascinating artefacts.

The buildings around the old town are a beautiful colour and the one thing you will fall in love with is the architecture as some of it, especially the government buildings are wonderful. The one thing I noticed when I went was that it is one of the quietest capital cities I have ever been to.

One of the best things about the city is the alleys and streets in the old town that are full of quaint little shops. Also another fantastic thing about Stockholm is that you are never that far away from the water and parks. There is a lovely park on the outskirts where one of the royal houses are and there is always a lot of people jogging the route as it’s so pretty.

There is so much to do in Stockholm such as markets, theatre, nightlife, shopping and so much more and a weekend will Never feel long enough.
